Healing Israel from PTSD & Trauma
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS EVENT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED AS THE SPEAKER WAS NOT ABLE TO LEAVE ISRAEL.
The event will now take place on Thursday evening May 7th at 7pm instead of March 12th.
Join us in Sudbury to meet the founder of Kehilanu, meaning Our Community, which was founded to help Israel heal.
The October 7, 2023 terrorist attack is the deadliest in Israel’s history and it has caused unprecedented trauma. Since the attack and the painful two-year aftermath, PTSD and other forms of trauma have impacted a huge amount of Israelis many of whom are struggling with this on a daily basis. It has impacted lives, family units, work and productivity, and sadly lives have been lost.
On May 7th, at 7 p.m., we’ll gather at the Chabad Center of Sudbury to hear from Kehilanu’s founder, Miriam Schler, about an innovative trauma treatment model, which provides accessible mental health services to Israelis affected by trauma and aims to transform the experience of isolation into one of connection and mutual support.
By combining the power of customized support groups with trauma informed community activities, Kehilanu is advancing individual, communal, and national healing.
